Hike - Elowah/ Upper McCord Creek Falls UPDATED Leader - Michelle Davis. Dog friendly
Elowah/Upper Creek Falls 3 Miles combined distance, Level B, 700' elevation gain. Elowah Falls (a 213' Fall)is an easy 1.5 round trip, but we will add Upper McCord Creek (a 64' twin fall)along basalt cliffs & great view of Beacon Rock & Hamilton Mtn. Dog friendly. Bring water for you and your leashed pet. Have snacks and your 10 essentials. Refreshments or lunch depending on desire of the group.
Meet at Lewis and Clark State Recreation (Exit 18 off I-84 in Troutdale - turn Left at stop, go to 2nd parking lot, park near the restrooms). No Pass/ no Fee needed to park here. Will load up into cars and drive to Trailhead. NW Forest Pass or small day-use fee required for parking at Trailhead.
Finding the Trailhead: Exit off I-84 to exit 35. Turn Left, follow signs to Dodson. After 150' turn Right onto Frontage Rd & drive 2 miles to Trailead parking area on right.
